John of www.growingyourgreens.com takes you to Harbor Freight Tool, one of his favorite places to shop for tools including gardening tools. He purchased both his 6′ x 8′ and 10′ x 12′ green houses at harbor freight. He gives an update of how they have done so far.

Prices are certainly low at Harbor Freight, and you’re right about the quality. Cool video…very informative
John – can I ask where you got your coupons? Because the coupons I found online, the fine print says they cannot by computer printouts… I found all 3 – but I don’t think they’ll accept print out coupons.
I’ll get on their email list – perhaps those coupons would work..
Thanks for the great video!

Right about the quality
I love my HFGH! Check out what I did to mine on my channel. Keep up the good work!
interesting!
I’ve been looking at getting a Harbor Freight 10X12 for quite some time, your video really helped me get a better feel for it. Also, I’d love to see you growing some cool tropicals like bananas and passionfruit ( I love my tropicals!). I’m looking forward to updates!
I’ve been looking into getting a HF greenhouse but I don’t know if it makes sense when you live in a desert. I’m thinking it might actually bake the plants in the summer.
For the amount of money you spend I would think you could build your own out of 2 x 4′s and plastic? In a big city I bet you could do it for free from all the scrounged stuff from construction sites? But, for some people it would be better to have a kit to work with.
Since I live in a high desert area with only a small growing seasion I have to use a green house. I want to put in some raised beds when I finally build my green house.
Hi, great videos on the HFGH. Did you look into hoop houses before you purchased the greenhouse. I’m trying to figure out if a hoop house is a good option for me in MA.
Hi. I never had a hoop house. There are advantages to a hoop house vs green house. The hoop house is cheaper, doesnt get as hot, easier to assemble. Disadvantages is that the plastic will break down easier. The greenhouse is more expensive, longer lasting, will stay “warmer” in side due to better “sealing” and “dual pane’ type pannels. If you get the HF Greenhouse, get the large one. Try the hoop house first, if it works, stay with it. if not get the greenhouse and have both!
you must have a pretty nice sized yard if you can fit 2 greenhouses and 2 sheds
if you plant a tree in a greenhouse, won’t it overgrow and make you relocate?
